In collaboration with Bennett Architect Inc., Clark Builders provided the City of St. Alberta with a 23,300 sf pre-engineered clear spanning structure with a lean-to building. Clark Builders worked with City representatives to ensure a high level of safety on an active public works yard site.
Project Profile: Retail Store
Butler Builder®, Melewka Structures & Design, thought outside the pre-engineered box, and between their architect and consulting engineer they provided a budget sensitive solution to a Dollarama retail store. Not only did this building deliver high on curb appeal, it also met a tight building schedule and stringent new national energy code requirements.
Project Profile: Municipal Transit Facility
In collaboration with Stantec, Clark Builders supplied and installed this 83,700 sf Behlen building for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. The structure included Lafarge pre-cast wall panels and a Metl Span roof and wall panel system – built to endure the most rugged requirements. The structure has the capacity to house 80 buses to serve the community.

AMBA Newsletter: Summer 2020
As you are all now aware, we have cancelled the Golf Tournament for 2020. We have a booking for next year, June 17, 2021. I have golfed in all of the tournaments since 2004 and sure do miss this one. I hope we all can come out of this Coronavirus outbreak in good health and get back to our normal workloads and recreational activities soon. Please stay safe and have a great summer.
AMBA Membership Committee Update: July 2020
State of the Industry: July 2020
In the past decade, Alberta has experienced three deep recessions. With the prolonged oil price slump and persistent unemployment Alberta’s economy was already struggling; COVID-19 has stalled economic recovery further. Many Alberta businesses do not have the cash flow to weather this crisis and government hand-outs may not be enough to provide financial stability.
AMBA Golf Tournament Notice of Canellation
Unfortunately, we will be cancelling the 2020 AMBA Golf Tournament due to gathering restrictions put in place by Alberta Health Services as well as feedback from the members survey.
To learn more visit the Alberta Restictions on Gatherings web page.

AMBA Golf Tournament Survey
With the current health risks and conditions in place to hold a Golf Tournament this year, we would like to know if there would be enough interested in a Golf Tournament in August 2020 or if we should we cancel and postpone until the next year.
Please complete our short survey to indicate your interest by June 5, 2020.
AMBA Newsletter: Spring 2020
Well, these are certainly interesting times. Since our last newsletter, the world has seemed to turn upside down. I urge everyone to remain calm, use common sense, and wash your hands. We have decided not to lose our place for our Golf Tournament by delaying it, however as we get closer to the date, we will be monitoring the situation and at that time move it if necessary, but for now business as usual. It would be nice if we could say business as usual for the industry, but we need to be patient and hang on.
AMBA Membership Committee Update: April 2020
I think everyone would agree that our AGM in February at Rural Routes in Leduc, AB was a resounding success. The strength of our association was amplified by the interactions between members and a few excellent presentations from 908 Engineering and Apprenticeship and Industry Training. Your Association continues to strive to provide opportunities for the strengthening and growth of our industry in Alberta.
