I imagine we all want to make a collective New Year’s Resolution to just put the last two years behind us. While we all hopefully enjoyed a good Christmas break, the bone chilling cold certainly kept my family from participating in lengthy outdoor activities. Given the challenges we are all facing, 2021 was still a positive year for AMBA as we held onto existing members and welcomed several new companies to the fold.
Please keep an eye on your mail and look for your 2022 Membership Renewal. Again, we have held the line on Membership Dues and would encourage you all to submit your renewals as early as possible. I would also encourage you to consider submitting applicants for our awards. We are pleased to have been able to increase the award values this year and look forward to recognizing up and coming expertise within the trade.
A recent announcement of an additional membership benefit highlighted that AMBA is now a member of the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ASCA). As members of AMBA, you can participate in the benefits of being an ASCA member as well.
Don’t forget to take advantage of our AMBA newsletters and our social media to spread the word throughout our industry about your company and its accomplishments. Maybe you have someone new, someone retiring, or someone who has accomplished a major milestone who deserves an industry shout out. Project profiles or interesting stories are always welcome. Linda Giesinger has taken on the role of compiling newsletter and social media content. You can reach her at linda.giesinger@shaw.ca with articles or photos or announcements.
We want to encourage every member to consider what they could offer to either “What’s New” or “Project Profiles”. AMBA would welcome any submissions and we look forward to including these not only in our quarterly newsletters but also on our website and social media platforms.
As always, if you know of anyone working in the industry who you think should be a member, please pass their information on to any of the Board members so that we can encourage them to join. There is strength in numbers and we want to continue to grow the Association for the future generations of MBSE specialists.
