Greetings everyone! We are living in unprecedented times. The world has shifted dramatically in both our professional and personal lives. Never in modern times have we had to deal with a fast-spreading, worldwide deadly virus. As someone who is in a high-risk category, numerous precautions are required. The reduction in our personal social contacts has been difficult. By nature, humans are social beings and we now find ourselves restricting ourselves to close family and very few friends.

Professionally we have seen profound changes. Many people are now working from home. The reliance on technology has greatly increased. Industries such as travel, restaurants, and hospitality have been decimated to the point many companies will not survive. Our governments have accumulated massive debt and the consequences will be long-lasting.

On a positive note, teams of experts around the globe have been frantically working to find a vaccine. It is expected one will be ready for distribution by next spring. Those businesses that have been prudently run will be in a good position to take advantage of the recovery. Industries that have curtailed growth and expansion plans will be anxious to move forward with new projects. The US election will soon be over and regardless of results, we will see stability return to the US economy. There will likely be a boom in health care as new manufacturing facilities will be required. Federal governments will be increasing infrastructure spending. Some of your competition will no longer be around! Companies that have been fiscally responsible, have treated their employees fairly, and kept them engaged will be well-positioned for the new reality. We are likely going to see some of the changes become permanent.

Please keep your families and employees safe! There will be a future with opportunities!
