PAC Ironworker Update: April 2020

Provincial Apprenticeship Committee (PAC) for the Ironworker Trade meets regularly to discuss new items, review how the tests are preforming and to go over any exam questions that are getting either very high or low marks.

The Ironworker - MBSE Apprenticeship program has experienced increased activity (see the tables below). This is an encouraging sign and shows that as an industry we are dedicated to having competent and well-trained metal building erectors.

The quality of metal buildings is directly related to the performance of all trades engaged in the construction of those projects – poor workmanship reflects badly on all of us. For those of us that are supporting the industry through training and vetting our employees, thank you. If you have not been getting your employees to attend technical training, I would implore you to reconsider – we must continue to support our training programs. Our industry relies on hiring and training new MBSE Ironworkers to remain a viable trade.

If there is anything you would like to discuss, or any issues you would like brought up to the Ironworker PAC please contact Greg Dellezay or Jordan Price on the AMBA Board of Directors.
