PAC Ironworker Update: January 2021

Alberta Provincial Apprenticeship Committee (PAC) Update

“PACs are responsible for making recommendations to the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AAIT) Board about the training and certification requirements and standards for Alberta’s designated trades. They also act as a link between the LACs and the AAIT Board.”

It is imperative that Metal Building System Erectors (MBSE) are involved in contributing to training as well as being informed on any changes that affect our industry. Currently, we have 2 MBSE members on the board: Greg Dellezay and Jordan Price. Below is the list of all the Ironworker board members. Greg’s time on the committee will expire this September. We are actively looking for someone to step into his place. Strong communication skills, willingness to actively attend meetings, and contribute are essential to fulfill this role. This video provides a snapshot of how enriching this position could be to your career.

If you are interested, please contact Greg Dellezay at gregd@scottbuilders.com.
