AMBA Membership Committee Update: January 2021

Well, that year is finally over!  2020 certainly was a different kind of year, as we all had to deal with the challenges of managing a global pandemic.  It is interesting to note, that when a group of people bonded by a common cause, act together for the collective good, what seem like insurmountable odds can be overcome.  While we are starting to see improvements and with the rollout of the vaccines, there are still hurdles that lie ahead.

This coming together for the common good is the same strength of membership that has been at the core of AMBA from the beginning.  Your active membership in AMBA allows your Association to continue to advocate for our collective industry here in Alberta, which sets us all apart as unique from every other province and territory across Canada.

Over the next few weeks, you will start to see your renewal notices for your ongoing Membership for 2021.  Please process and return these renewals in a timely manner.  As always, if you are aware of anyone working in our Industry who you do not think is a member, please pass that information on to any of the Board members so that we can approach them about joining our Association.

AMBA prepares our Newsletter on a quarterly basis and we encourage any members to submit ideas for articles regarding New Product Announcements or Project Profiles for the next newsletter, which will publish in early April.

On a personal note, the Board would like to acknowledge that as of December 2020, Linda Giesinger has formally retired from Butler after working in the construction industry for over 41 years.  Linda will continue to be an active part of our industry around Alberta and will be carrying on her role as Vice-Chair of AMBA.  We all wish Linda well in retirement.
