The strength of our association relies on a strong membership that collectively represents a cross-section of our industry. AMBA continues to remain a strong unified voice for our members, who are actively involved in the Steel Building Systems market across the province.

As we come to the end of 2019, we have experienced some struggles in maintaining and recruiting new members. The current economic climate in Alberta has many firms reviewing their overheads very carefully. The strength of AMBA and the resultant MBSE Certification is actually the core of our member’s businesses, and as such should command a high priority in each firm’s fiscal planning.

We were pleased to welcome two new members in the latter half of 2019 with Kone Cranes and Vortex Production Services joining the association as new members.

As we all go about our day to day work, we may see or hear of other companies actively participating in the Steel Building Systems market, who we either know or suspect are not members of AMBA. I want to encourage everyone to pass on the names of these companies to the Membership Committee so that we can actively approach them to promote becoming members of the Association.
